On topological transitive maps on operator algebras

We consider the transitive linear maps on the operator algebra $B(X)$for a separable Banach space $X$. We show if a bounded linear map is norm transitive on $B(X)$,then it must be hypercyclic with strong operator topology. Also we provide a SOT-transitivelinear map without being hypercyclic in the strong operator topology.

Strictly Semi-transitive Operator Algebras

An algebra A of operators on a Banach space X is called strictly semitransitive if for all non-zero x, y ∈ X there exists an operator A ∈ A such that Ax = y or Ay = x. We show that if A is norm-closed and strictly semi-transitive, then every A-invariant linear subspace is norm-closed. Moreover, LatA is totally and well ordered by reverse inclusion. If X is complex and A is transitive and strict...

Congruences of convex algebras

We provide a full description of congruence relations of convex, positive convex, and totally convex algebras. As a consequence of this result we obtain that finitely generated convex (positive convex, totally convex) algebras are finitely presentable. Convex algebras, in particular positive convex algebras, are important in the area of probabilistic systems. They are the Eilenberg-Moore algebr...

Transitive convex subsets in large tournaments

A convex subset of vertices of a tournament T is such that any vertex not in the subset either dominates or is dominated by all of the vertices in the convex subset. Given a large tournament T , we explore the structure of T by looking for its transitive convex subsets. In a majority voting tournament some isolated inconsistencies may appear in such subsets. We propose a way to reveal such “nea...

The Geometry of Convex Transitive Banach Spaces

Throughout this paper, X will denote a Banach space, S ̄S(X ) and B ̄B(X ) will be the unit sphere and the closed unit ball of X, respectively, and ' ̄'(X ) will stand for the group of all surjective linear isometries on X. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, all Banach spaces will be assumed to be real. Nevertheless, by passing to real structures, the results remain true for complex spaces. Recal...
